Plot: When his new album fails to sell records, pop/rap superstar Connor4Real goes into a major tailspin and sees his high-profile career come crashing down. He’ll try anything to get back on track, short of reuniting with his old rap group The Style Boys. Told in the form of a music documentary, Conor Friel is a musical prodigy at an early age and forms the pop-rap group “The Style Boys” with his childhood friends Lawrence Dunn and Owen Bouchard. They inspire many of today’s musicians to gain fame in the music industry almost immediately. However, after failing to get credit for writing Connor’s guest verse on Poppy’s winning single “Turn Up the Beef,” Lawrence left.
After the disbandment of the Style Boys, Conner became a solo act, with Owen as his DJ under the name “Conner4Real”. Lawrence begins farming in Colorado. Connor’s debut album, Thriller, also rocketed to number one in the charts and his popularity grew. In 2015, Conner released his sophomore album Conquest, which received rave reviews as he wrote every song himself and used hundreds of different producers than Owen’s original beats. As sales are surprisingly low, Connor’s manager Harry suggests that home appliance manufacturer Aquaspin sponsor the tour. The company’s equipment starts playing Connor’s songs while in use, causing power outages across the country, creating a backlash among Connor’s fans.
