Plot: Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book is given the full treatment in this lavish reimagining filled with grand sets, exotic animals, a large cast and the inimitable Sabu as Mowgli, a young orphan raised by wolves. Eager to reunite with his human village, Mowgli returns to find himself disillusioned by human greed and treachery. In time, Mowgli and the villagers come to trust each other, but not before the village is under siege. It’s up to Mowgli and his wild friends to save the day. A boy raised by wild animals tries to adjust to human village life.
Raised by wolves, teenage Mowgli appears in a village in India and is adopted by Mesua. Mowgli quickly learns human language and some human ways, but still retains ideas of the jungle. The influential merchant Pulteo is magnanimous towards the ‘beasts’, including Mowgli; Not so with Pulteo’s beautiful daughter, Mowgli embarks on a journey into the jungle where they discover a treasure and set the evil of human greed in motion.
